Full Job Description
Our Client is seeking an experienced Audio Visual Support specialist in the Washington DC Metro Area. Some travel may be required CONUS & OCONUS.
Duties and Responsibilities
Set-up of teleconferences and/or audiovisual equipment for meetings and conferences at customer sites or off-site conference facilities arranged by customers.
Operation of equipment during meetings and disassembly of equipment upon completion.
Operation of conference, meeting and training room AV/IT, sound systems and telephone technology.
Preparation and support for Webcast, Web meeting, Webinar, and video teleconferences.
Proficiency in the use and maintenance of room scheduling system.
Role Will Include:
Technical troubleshooting of AV setup
Periodic re-imaging of training computers
Invoking warranties of computer equipment for repair or replacement
Arranging for the installation of new telephone and data ports
Activation of new and existing telephone and data ports
Assist meeting presenters with access to local accounts and to network accounts
Setting appropriate room lighting and climate control
Arranging for transcription services
Lead a team in running cables for building or racking of equipment or other cabling services
Able to create cable run lists and cable schematics to effectively connect the services
Install cabling from transport/wiring closets to the customer access outlet
Install cabling both under floor and above the ceiling in cable trays, troughs, wiring baskets, harnesses, and J hooks
Assist in the design of cable transmission media, machine rooms, transport closets, and points-of-presence
Field terminate cabling utilizing multiple types of connectors technical techniques
Install backbone/vertical, underground, and outdoor cabling
Field test cabling for performance specifications
Provide cable labeling and configuration documentation
Perform cable management
Room setup and furniture configuration
Minimum Experience: Associate's degree or 2 years relevant experience. Versed in use of AMX and Creston equipment, Network and Audio, VTC training or similar. Audio Visual Technician (AVT) certified.
Requirements: Experience, Education, and Clearances
Qualifications include a minimum of four years of experience in the field of multimedia audiovisual, including three years of specialized experience in highly multimedia audiovisual disciplines involving a range of solutions.
Minimum of two years of general experience must be concentrated, hands-on experience in the specific disciplines of multimedia audiovisual support.
Associate's degree or 2 years of relevant experience.
Expertise in the use of AMX and Creston equipment, Network and Audio, VTC training, or similar.
Audio Visual Technician (AVT) certified.
