Role Description

This is a full-time litigation position for a boutique firm located in the Long Beach East Village. The Associate will be fully responsible for all case management including client interaction, reporting, drafting law and motion, court appearances, discovery, depositions, mediation and trial preparation. This is an opportunity for unparalleled professional growth and long term business expansion. The firm is collaborative and mentorship abounds. The cases are plentiful and present a challenging variety of representation needs for our clients. There is both a state and federal practice, presenting civil claims, civil rights claims and quasi criminal issues of law.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in legal research and drafting legal documents

• Strong verbal and analytical skills

• Ability to handle a case load effectively

• Positive attitude and emotional maturity

• Ability to prioritize

• Willingness to litigate

• Detail oriented

• Ability to work collaboratively with senior attorneys and paralegals

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and membership in the California Bar

• 2-5 years preferred
