Associate Attorney

Job Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join their law firm, with a focus on Workers' Compensation and/or General Liability matters. This role involves managing litigation files, representing clients, and working closely with senior attorneys to deliver high-quality legal services.

Responsibilities

• Handle Workers' Compensation and/or General Liability cases from inception through resolution

• Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents

• Conduct legal research and case analysis

• Prepare for and attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials as needed

• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, insurers, and courts

• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients

• Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff on case strategy

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and client records

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

• Active California Bar license (in good standing)

• Prior experience in Workers' Compensation and/or General Liability litigation required

• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills

• Excellent verbal communication and negotiation abilities

• Ability to manage multiple matters independently while working in a team environment
