• The attorney will handle insurance coverage and related litigation matters, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs, conducting legal research, and managing discovery.

• Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing insurance policies and claims, advising clients on coverage issues, participating in negotiations and settlement discussions, and collaborating with partners and other team members on case strategy.

• The role also involves preparing for and attending court conferences, hearings, and trials as needed, as well as maintaining organized case files and clear communication with clients.

Key skill: 2-3 years commercial or insurance coverage litigation experience

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Law, with experience or coursework in Labor and Employment Law and insurance coverage matters.

• Ability to provide clear, practical Legal Advice to clients and support case strategy and decision-making.

• Proficiency in legal Research, including case law, statutes, regulations, and secondary sources.

• Effective Negotiation skills to advocate for clients in settlement discussions and at the negotiating table.

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and admission in good standing to the New York State Bar (or eligibility for prompt admission).

• Strong legal writing and analytical skills, with attention to detail in drafting and reviewing documents.

• Ability to manage multiple matters, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced litigation environment.

• Prior experience in insurance coverage, commercial litigation, or related practice areas is preferred.
