Surety Business Development Representative

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, strengthen, and maintain strategic relationships with brokers, agents, and intermediaries in the United States (south area).

  • Identify new business opportunities and contribute to market expansion initiatives.

  • Promote the company's products within the broker channel, increasing market penetration and brand positioning.

  • Represent the company at meetings, industry events, trade shows, and conferences.

  • Provide regular updates, opportunity reports, and performance results to the Strategy Manager, coordinating closely with General Management.

  • Ensure achievement of commercial targets, service quality standards, and compliance with internal policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.

  • Experience in insurance and business development.

  • Experience with surety.

  • Experience within broker/agent channels.

  • Proficiency in commercial management tools, CRM systems and MS Office.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience or knowledge in surety bonds.

  • Proficiency in Spanish.

Business Development Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the commercial team, ensuring alignment with the business strategy and growth objectives.

  • Validate broker acquisition, development, and retention strategies in strategic markets.

  • Continuously monitor dashboards, KPIs, and commercial metrics, analyzing production, pipeline, conversion rates, and overall performance.

  • Assess the quality of commercial management, identifying gaps, improvement opportunities, and corrective actions.

  • Contribute to the design and refinement of the commercial strategy, with a focus on market expansion and performance optimization.

  • Ensure the proper execution of commercial initiatives, campaigns, and growth plans.

  • Coordinate with the Strategy Management team and the General Manager on commercial and expansion-related decisions.

  • Propose improvements to processes, commercial tools, and performance tracking models.

  • Ensure compliance with targets, internal policies, and service standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in business development.

  • Experience in insurance companies or related industries (e.g., payments, startups, or similar sectors).

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or Master's degree in Management, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Knowledge and experience with surety bonds.

  • Spanish proficiency.

  • Insurance license.
