This position will collaborate closely with interior designers, sales consultants, project managers, and production teams to ensure accurate execution of high-end cabinetry and millwork projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shop Drawings: Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D CAD configurations for kitchen cabinetry, integrated appliance panels, bathroom vanities, and architectural casework.

  • Technical Integration: Develop detailed floor-to-ceiling millwork designs and ensure proper integration of appliances and other components.

  • Materials & Specifications: Calculate dimensions, material requirements, joinery methods, hardware requirements, veneer layouts, and other production specifications.

  • Site Verification: Review field measurements and existing conditions to ensure accurate fabrication and installation.

  • Revision Control: Incorporate architectural redlines, field changes, building requirements, and client revisions into drawings.

  • Production Coordination: Provide clear fabrication instructions, assembly details, cut lists, and production documentation to manufacturing teams.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with designers, project managers, sales teams, and production personnel throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 3-5 years of drafting experience specializing in custom cabinetry, architectural millwork, or high-end European-style cabinetry.

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or cabinet manufacturing software such as Cabinet Vision, Mozaik, or TopSolid.

  • Strong ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, structural sections, and MEP plans.

  • Solid understanding of wood species, veneer matching, hardware integration, frameless and face-frame construction, and material tolerances.

  • Strong spatial awareness and mathematical skills, including geometry and trigonometry.

  • Experience producing accurate, fabrication-ready documentation.

Desired Characteristics

  • Exceptional attention to detail and precision.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows and practical fabrication requirements.

  • Ability to identify potential design or production issues before fabrication.
