Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Cabinet Maker to join our custom woodworking shop. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled craftsman who has spent years working with wood and understands every stage of cabinet fabrication.
The ideal candidate has extensive shop experience and is capable of independently building custom cabinetry from raw materials. Candidates who have previously owned or managed a woodworking or cabinet shop are highly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
Build custom cabinets, closets, vanities, and millwork from shop drawings.
Measure, cut, shape, assemble, glue, and finish wood components.
Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently.
Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Assemble cabinet boxes, drawers, doors, and specialty components.
Perform quality inspections throughout the fabrication process.
Ensure projects meet high-end residential quality standards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of cabinet making or custom woodworking experience
Strong woodworking and cabinet fabrication background
Experience working in a professional cabinet or millwork shop
Ability to cut, glue, assemble, and fabricate cabinetry from raw materials
Ability to read shop drawings and blueprints
Experience with woodworking equipment including:
Table saws
Panel saws
Edge banders
Routers
Jointers
Planers
Sanders
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
Previous cabinet shop owner or shop management experience
Experience with luxury residential cabinetry
Architectural millwork experience
Furniture-quality woodworking experience
