Role Description The Civil Engineering Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Basehor, KS. This role involves supporting civil engineering design projects by preparing technical drawings, assisting with CAD modeling, and contributing to project documentation. The technician will coordinate with engineers and surveyors, and ensure plans meet relevant standards and regulations. Daily responsibilities include updating project files, communicating with project team members, and assisting with quality control checks. The position requires attention to detail, consistent communication, and the ability to work collaboratively in a consulting environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design, with the ability to support technical project work.

  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoDesk Civil 3D) for preparing and revising engineering drawings and plans.

  • Effective Communication skills, including clear written documentation and collaborative interaction with project teams.

  • Associate's degree or technical certification in civil engineering technology, drafting, surveying, or a related field preferred.

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, specifications, and survey notes.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy and safety.

  • Familiarity with local and state civil engineering and land development standards is beneficial.
