Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist with strong programming and setup experience. The ideal candidate must be able to independently manage a machining job from blueprint review through programming, setup, machining, inspection, and final verification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements.

  • Independently program CNC lathes, including creating and modifying programs as needed.

  • Set up CNC lathe machines, including tooling, workholding, offsets, and tool changes.

  • Operate CNC lathes and produce precision components according to specifications.

  • Perform G-code/M-code programming and edits as required.

  • Select appropriate tooling and machining processes based on material and part requirements.

  • Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments.

  • Verify finished parts meet dimensional and quality requirements.

  • Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and programming issues.

  • Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.

  • Work independently while maintaining productivity, quality, and safety standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven hands-on experience as a CNC Lathe Machinist/Programmer.

  • Strong CNC Lathe programming and setup experience.

  • Ability to independently take a job from blueprint → programming → setup → machining → inspection.

  • Experience with G-code/M-code.

  • Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge.

  • Experience with CNC controls such as Haas, Mazak, Fanuc, or similar is preferred.

  • Ability to use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Important: The client is not looking for an operator or setup technician without programming experience. The candidate must have demonstrated CNC programming experience and the ability to take ownership of the complete machining process.
