Job Overview

The CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating CNC machine tools to manufacture and inspect high-precision products. The role performs production machining operations according to drawings, work instructions, quality standards, and established time requirements while maintaining accurate production records.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate various CNC machine tools according to company procedures and production standards.

  • Perform repetitive production machining operations.

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, sketches, and work instructions.

  • Inspect completed machined parts to ensure quality requirements are met.

  • Transmit and receive CNC programs and maintain computerized or manual production records.

  • Provide technical assistance and on-the-job training to other employees.

  • Maintain quality, productivity, and accuracy throughout the machining process.

  • Follow company safety, quality, and shop-floor procedures.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • 1-3 years of manufacturing experience.

  • CNC machining/setup and operation experience.

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, sketches, and work instructions.

  • Experience inspecting precision-machined parts.

  • Basic computer skills and ability to work with computerized production systems.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively and professionally with coworkers.

  • Technical or vocational machining education is preferred.

  • Ability to stand and work on the shop floor and lift/move up to 50 lbs.
