Job Overview

We are a precision machining company specializing in prototype and short-run work, so this isn't a repetitive production-operator position. Our machinists have the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging parts and are expected to use their machining and programming skills to solve problems and produce quality components..

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate HAAS CNC Mills.

• Create and modify CNC programs using Mastercam.

• Set up machining jobs from blueprints, engineering drawings, and CAD models.

• Select appropriate cutting tools, workholding, speeds, and feeds.

• Machine precision prototype and short-run components.

• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and engineering drawings.

• Perform in-process and final inspections using micrometers, calipers, indicators, gauges, and precision measuring equipment.

• Make program and offset adjustments to maintain tight tolerances.

• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, programming, and dimensional issues.

• Work independently to complete jobs accurately and on schedule.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe machining environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC milling experience - Required.

• Strong hands-on experience with HAAS CNC Mills - Required.

• Experience programming with Mastercam - Required.

• Ability to independently program, set up, and operate CNC milling machines.

• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge.

• Experience with tight-tolerance precision machining, including ±.0001".

• Strong knowledge of cutting tools, feeds, speeds, tooling, and machining practices.

• Proficiency using precision inspection and measuring equipment.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Prototype and short-run machining experience preferred.

• Experience with 3-, 4-, or 5-axis CNC milling preferred.

• Experience machining aluminum, stainless steel, steel, and other common materials preferred.

• CAD/CAM experience preferred.

• Experience with fixture and workholding design preferred.

• Reliable, detail-oriented, and quality-focused.
