Position Overview

We are seeking skilled and dependable Commercial Carpenters to support commercial and residential construction projects in and around the Martinsburg, WV area.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with general carpentry, framing, installations, and finish work. Candidates with strong construction skills who are willing to learn additional trades and installation techniques are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform rough and finish carpentry work on commercial and residential construction projects.

• Install commercial doors, windows, frames, and related hardware.

• Perform wood and metal framing according to project specifications.

• Install and finish drywall as needed.

• Build and install decks and other wood structures.

• Install lockers, toilet partitions, bath accessories, and other specialty items.

• Perform Division 8 work, including doors, frames, and related architectural products.

• Perform Division 10 and miscellaneous accessory installations.

• Read and follow construction drawings, plans, and project specifications.

• Measure, cut, assemble, and install materials accurately.

• Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

• Work effectively with project managers, supervisors, subcontractors, and other trades.

• Follow all applicable job-site safety requirements and quality standards.

• Complete assigned work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in commercial carpentry or general construction preferred.

• Hands-on experience with one or more of the following:

  • Commercial door/window installation

  • Wood or metal framing

  • Drywall

  • Finish carpentry

  • Deck construction

  • Lockers and accessories

  • Division 8 or Division 10 installations

• Ability to use common carpentry hand and power tools.

• Ability to read and understand basic construction drawings and measurements.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a construction team.

• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to job sites in the Martinsburg area.

• Ability to work safely in an active construction environment.

Preferred

• Commercial construction experience.

• Experience with architectural specialties or Division 8/Division 10 installations.

• OSHA or other construction safety training.

• Experience working on multiple project types and job sites.
