Description:

You will take full ownership of the estimating department, driving the growth and profitability of multi-million-dollar commercial projects. This role gives you the leadership autonomy to build bids from the ground up while actively shaping the commercial pipeline. You will join a collaborative environment where every team member shares directly in project success and company operations.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Build accurate estimates and budgets for multi-million-dollar retail and grocery projects without fully developed documents.

  • Lead and manage the overall operations of the estimating department with supporting team members.

  • Source potential and future commercial work by actively monitoring industry project boards.

  • Prepare comprehensive proposals in strict accordance with Instructions to Bidders documents.

  • Maintain complete bidding schedules, solicit qualified bidders, and establish detailed cost comparisons.

  • Execute both hard bid and negotiated estimating strategies to secure profitable commercial contracts.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience.

  • Proven background as a Commercial Estimator specifically within retail and grocery construction.

  • Demonstrated experience preparing budgets for both ground-up builds and renovation projects.

  • Strong track record of successfully executing both hard bid and negotiated estimating processes.

  • Self-starter mindset with the ability to manage an estimating department independently.

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • 10+ years of related work experience in commercial construction estimating.

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Building Science, or a related field.
