This is a full-time, on-site role for Commercial Lines and Benefits Producers based in Raleigh, NC. The role involves identifying and prospecting commercial clients, conducting needs assessments, and recommending appropriate property, casualty, and employee benefits solutions. Producers will prepare proposals, present coverage options, and negotiate terms with clients and carriers. Daily responsibilities include managing renewals, maintaining accurate account information, and providing ongoing client support and risk management advice. The position also requires building strong relationships in the local business community, collaborating with internal service teams, and staying current on industry trends and regulatory changes.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong skills and experience in commercial Insurance, including policy coverage, underwriting basics, and carrier relationships.

  • Candidates should possess knowledge of Employee Benefits, including health, dental, vision, life, and related group plans, along with plan design and enrollment support.

  • Candidates should possess Sales skills focused on prospecting, consultative selling, pipeline management, and closing new business.

  • Candidates should possess expertise in Casualty Insurance and related lines, such as general liability, workers' compensation, and commercial auto.

  • Candidates should possess Risk Management skills, including exposure analysis, loss control strategies, and recommendations to reduce client risk.

  • State insurance producer licenses for Property & Casualty and Health/Life (or ability to obtain within a defined timeframe).

  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities with business owners and decision makers.

  • Comfort with CRM or agency management systems and basic office software to manage accounts and documentation.

  • Prior experience in commercial insurance or employee benefits sales is preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, meet production goals, and collaborate effectively with internal teams.
