Commercial Lines Small Business Account Manager

Location: Boca Raton, FL (Hybrid after training)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: Base (DOE) + Bonus


Job Summary

A growing insurance agency is seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Small Business Account Manager to manage and service a portfolio of small commercial accounts. This role requires a strong focus on client service, policy management, and account retention.

The ideal candidate will have an active Florida 2-20 Insurance License, hands-on experience in commercial lines, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This individual will play a key role in maintaining client relationships, ensuring policy accuracy, and supporting account growth.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a book of small commercial accounts from onboarding through renewal

  • Respond promptly to client inquiries and provide high-quality service

  • Review and process new policies, endorsements, and policy changes

  • Issue Certificates of Insurance and Auto ID cards

  • Handle cancellations, non-renewals, and reinstatements

  • Request and analyze loss runs

  • Assist clients with claims processing and follow-ups

  • Manage premium audits and ensure accuracy

  • Support billing inquiries and invoicing processes

  • Market and remarket accounts during renewal cycles

  • Prepare quotes and client proposals

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records

  • Perform account rounding and cross-selling opportunities

  • Build and maintain strong long-term client relationships


Qualifications & Requirements

  • Active Florida 2-20 Property & Casualty Insurance License (Required)

  • Minimum 2+ years of Commercial Lines experience

  • Experience working with small business accounts (e.g., contractors, associations, artisans, etc.) preferred

  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills

  • High attention to detail and process-driven mindset

  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment

  • Experience with AMS 360 is a plus

  • Industry certifications (ACSR, CISR, CPSR, CIC) are a plus
