Job Title: Compliance Manager

Job Overview

The Compliance Manager is responsible for leading the company's compliance and contract management activities, including contract intake, review, negotiation, risk assessment, and execution. This role ensures compliance with applicable legal, regulatory, quality, customs, and export-control requirements while developing internal policies, compliance systems, and training programs. The Compliance Manager works closely with executive leadership to manage organizational risk and support business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the contract lifecycle from intake through negotiation, review, approval, and signature.

  • Lead complex contract negotiations with customers, suppliers, and other business partners.

  • Review customer, supplier, employment, and other business contracts for legal and internal compliance.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable commercial, business, customs, and export-control laws and regulations.

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and compliance risks.

  • Develop, implement, and enforce internal compliance policies and corporate standards.

  • Build and maintain compliance tools, processes, and compliance management systems.

  • Conduct internal compliance audits and investigations as needed.

  • Develop controls to prevent violations involving data protection, corruption, corporate espionage, and unethical conduct.

  • Organize and deliver compliance training and awareness programs for employees.

  • Support adherence to applicable quality and industry standards, including DIN and ISO requirements.

  • Report compliance risks, audit findings, and program performance to executive management.

  • Partner with leadership and internal stakeholders to improve compliance processes and reduce contract cycle times.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field required.

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a compliance, legal, control, audit, or oversight function.

  • Leadership or management experience preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of commercial and business law, customs regulations, and industry compliance requirements.

  • Familiarity with manufacturing industry contracts, regulations, and standards.

  • Knowledge of export controls and customs compliance.

  • Understanding of DIN, ISO, and other quality or industry standards.

  • Strong contract review, negotiation, risk management, and conflict-resolution skills.

  • Experience developing compliance policies, management systems, and internal controls.

  • Experience conducting internal compliance audits.

  • Strong Microsoft Office and database skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Fluent business English required; additional language skills are a plus.

  • Ability to work independently, manage sensitive issues, and perform effectively under pressure.
