Project Engineer - Crane, Rigging & Heavy Transport

A Project Engineer will work with design professionals, customers, subcontractors, and field crews to direct complex crane, rigging, heavy lift, and heavy transport projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop operational solutions for heavy lift and heavy haul projects.

  • Create engineering plans and fabrication drawings and provide field supervision.

  • Perform field surveying and jobsite layout.

  • Serve as the primary customer interface for engineering projects.

  • Manage project schedules, resources, and equipment assignments.

  • Prepare work and cost estimates for bids and proposals.

  • Manage and direct field crews during installation and use of designed equipment.

  • Lift and carry documents and equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.

  • Maintain knowledge of safety and management policies.

  • Perform additional assignments as directed by management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or related Engineering field required.

  • EIT or PE preferred.

  • Valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record.

  • Strong technical writing and communication skills.

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage projects independently.

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and RISA.

  • Experience with crane, rigging, heavy lift, heavy haul, or heavy transport projects is highly preferred.

  • Strong ability to work in both engineering/design and field environments.
