Responsibilities
Set up, operate, and monitor deep draw transfer presses used in brass cartridge case manufacturing.
Perform die changes, tooling adjustments, and machine setup verification.
Maintain dimensional accuracy and product quality throughout production runs.
Troubleshoot press, tooling, and material flow issues to minimize downtime.
Conduct in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance and assist maintenance personnel with repairs as needed.
Document production data, quality checks, and machine performance.
Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures.
Work closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to improve efficiency and output.
Qualifications
Minimum 3+ years of experience operating deep draw transfer presses in a metal forming or ammunition manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of progressive and transfer press operations.
Experience with brass, copper, or similar non-ferrous metal forming processes preferred.
Ability to read blueprints, tooling drawings, and process specifications.
Knowledge of precision measurement tools including micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training is a plus.
