Job Summary: <p>We are seeking an experienced and compassionate <strong>Director of Nursing Services (DON) </strong>to lead nursing operations at a skilled nursing and long-term care facility in McCall, Idaho. This is a management-level nursing position responsible for ensuring high-quality resident care, supporting nursing staff, and maintaining strong clinical and regulatory standards.</p><p>The ideal candidate is an experienced RN leader with strong organizational, communication, and team-development skills who can thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment.</p>

Location: McCall, Idaho

Job Type: Full-Time | On-Site

Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per year, negotiable based on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee daily nursing operations and patient care.

  • Coordinate nursing staff scheduling, training, and team development.

  • Provide ongoing education and professional development for nursing staff.

  • Maintain and improve quality assurance and clinical programs.

  • Participate in resident discharge planning and coordinate nursing services.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations and standards.

  • Participate in facility surveys conducted by government and regulatory agencies.

  • Promote a positive, respectful, and service-oriented culture.

  • Support staff through challenging situations while maintaining professionalism.

  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure quality resident outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license.

  • Minimum 1 year of Director of Nursing or nursing management experience.

  • Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or long-term care (LTC) setting required.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Comfortable handling stressful situations calmly and professionally.

  • Positive, empathetic, and service-oriented approach to patient care and staff leadership.
