Role Description
The Electrical Engineering Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Miami, FL. This role involves assembling, testing, and troubleshooting frequency management devices such as crystals and oscillators under the guidance of engineering staff. Daily responsibilities include operating and maintaining electronic test equipment, performing soldering and wiring tasks, and assisting with prototype builds and product validations. The technician documents test results, supports root cause analysis for product issues, and collaborates with engineers and production personnel to ensure product quality and reliability. The role also includes following safety standards, maintaining an organized work area, and contributing to continuous improvement of processes.
Qualifications
Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent technical training/experience.
2+ years of hands-on experience testing, troubleshooting, repairing, or debugging electronic assemblies.
Strong understanding of analog electronic circuits and component-level troubleshooting.
Ability to read and understand electronic schematics, PCB assembly drawings, test procedures, and component datasheets.
Hands-on experience using oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, frequency counters, power supplies, and other electronic test equipment.
Strong SMT soldering and rework skills, including replacement of small surface-mount components using a microscope.
Ability to systematically troubleshoot electronic circuits and identify component, assembly, or process-related failures.
Ability to accurately record test results and maintain clear troubleshooting and repair documentation.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Windows-based test applications.
Detail-oriented with the ability to work with precision electronic products requiring tight electrical tolerance
