Job Summary: <p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p><p>We are seeking an experienced Family Medicine Physician (MD/DO) to join an established, community-focused healthcare organization in Central Texas.</p><p>This is an outpatient cradle-to-grave Family Medicine opportunity providing comprehensive primary care to a diverse patient population. The ideal candidate will bring strong post-residency experience, sound clinical judgment, and a commitment to accessible, evidence-based, patient-centered care.</p><p>This position is particularly well suited for an experienced physician who enjoys managing a broad patient panel and taking an active role in improving community health outcomes.</p>

Setting: Outpatient / Ambulatory Family Medicine
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive outpatient Family Medicine care across the lifespan.
Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
Perform preventive care, health screenings, and routine physical examinations.
Develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate specialty care when needed.
Provide continuity of care and build long-term relationships with patients and families.
Participate in quality improvement and population health initiatives.
Collaborate with advanced practice providers, nurses, behavioral health professionals, and other members of the care team.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Utilize the organization's electronic medical record system effectively.
Provide low-risk outpatient prenatal care when qualified and interested.
Prenatal Care
Prenatal experience is strongly preferred but not required.
Physicians who provide prenatal care will manage low-risk prenatal patients in the outpatient Family Medicine setting. Medium- and high-risk obstetric care is managed by dedicated OB services.
There is no requirement for hospital-based deliveries or inpatient OB coverage.
Qualifications
Required
MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine.
Prior post-residency Family Medicine experience required.
Current Texas medical license or eligibility to obtain one before starting.
Current DEA and DPS registrations.
Current BLS certification.
Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
Preferred
Several years of post-residency Family Medicine experience.
Prenatal/low-risk OB experience.
Experience managing a large primary care patient panel.
Epic EMR experience.
Spanish language proficiency, particularly medical Spanish.
Experience working in a community health or integrated care environment.
Commitment to health equity and serving diverse patient populations.
