Job Summary: <p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p><p>We are seeking a Family Medicine Physician to provide comprehensive primary care in an employer-sponsored outpatient health center in Artesia, NM.</p><p>This is an excellent opportunity for a provider who values work-life balance, longer patient appointments, independent clinical practice, and relationship-based care. The clinic serves employees and their families and provides preventive, acute, and chronic care in a low-volume outpatient environment.</p><p>Internal Medicine physicians and qualified FNP/PA candidates may also be considered if they have appropriate primary care experience and are comfortable treating pediatric patients age 2 and older.</p>
Location: Artesia, New Mexico
Job Type: Full-Time | 30 Hours/Week
Schedule: Monday-Thursday
Setting: Employer-Sponsored Outpatient Health Center
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive primary care to adults and children age 2+.
Perform preventive health examinations and wellness assessments.
Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions.
Develop individualized treatment plans.
Provide women's health services, including Pap smears and STD testing.
Evaluate and manage common pediatric conditions.
Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic testing.
Provide patient education and preventive health counseling.
Coordinate referrals and follow-up care when needed.
Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
Collaborate with clinical support staff to provide coordinated patient care.
Clinical Requirements
Required:
Comfortable treating pediatric patients age 2+.
Experience managing both acute and chronic conditions.
Experience providing women's health services, including Pap smears and STD testing.
Ability to practice independently in an outpatient setting.
Current, unrestricted New Mexico medical/professional license or eligibility.
Board Certified or Board Eligible, as applicable.
Current BLS or ACLS certification.
Preferred:
Family Medicine experience.
Primary care experience.
Experience in an employer-based or outpatient clinic.
DEA registration.
Internal Medicine candidates with pediatric experience are welcome to apply.
FNP/PA candidates with strong primary care experience may also be considered.
