Key Responsibilities

• Identify HSE risks with the installation team and take mitigation actions prior to work commencement. Enforce site safety requirements and conduct daily safety oversight.

• Arrange daily installation work to ensure progress aligns with the project schedule and projects are delivered on time.

• Supervise on-site installation of power transformers (typically 230kV and above), including mechanical assembly, accessories installation, oil filling, and vacuum processing.

• Ensure installation work is strictly performed in line with drawings, installation processes, and customized requirements.

• Resolve on-site installation issues in a timely manner.

• Provide daily progress updates to the project manager and support stakeholder communication.

• Release/update working instructions and SOPs for the installation team.

• Provide skill training for the team, including vacuum oil filling process, SAT, and functional tests.

• Assist with inspection, punch list, and project handover.

Basic Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

• 5-8+ years of experience in 230kV and above transformer installation or similar field work.

• Hands-on experience moving transformers to the foundation installation position.

• Experience with assembly work (bushing assembly, high voltage leads connection, insulation wrapping).

• Experience with vacuum oil filling, operating oil filtration machines, and dry air generators.

• Experience with SAT (Site Acceptance Test), functional testing, and operating all testing devices.

• Experience with lifting work and wire connections from accessories to the control cabinet/termination box.

• OSHA 10 / OSHA 30 certification.

• Ability to read technical drawings and circuit diagrams.

• Familiarity with basic theory, transformer structure, components, accessories, and tools/fixtures.

• Basic knowledge of DGA results, with the ability to investigate and analyze quality issues.

• Willingness to travel frequently.

• Familiar with local regulations and working procedures of end users.

• Must demonstrate team management skills and strong safety/integrity awareness.
