Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Reporting Manager to support financial operations across multiple agriculture-related businesses. This role will work closely with the finance and operations teams and will be responsible for financial reporting, month-end close, analysis, internal controls, audit support, and various financial projects.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and organizational skills, solid accounting knowledge, and the ability to work independently while supporting multiple functions and projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support month-end closing and financial reporting activities.

  • Analyze financial data and provide information to support operational and business decisions.

  • Assist with implementing and maintaining internal controls and audit compliance procedures.

  • Prepare financial information and supporting documentation for semi-annual and year-end reviews and audits.

  • Collaborate with operations and finance teams on ad hoc financial and operational projects.

  • Assist with the administration, tracking, and analysis of capital expenditures (CAPEX).

  • Review contracts and contract terms for financial compliance and potential risk.

  • Provide support and guidance to multiple bookkeepers with their daily accounting functions.

  • Research accounting, regulatory, and business-related topics as needed.

  • Help identify opportunities to improve financial processes and operational efficiency.

  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality when handling financial information.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.

  • 2-4 years of relevant accounting or financial reporting experience preferred.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting processes.

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze financial information.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with finance, operations, and other business functions.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • High level of integrity when handling confidential and sensitive information.

  • Comfortable working extensively with computers and standard office equipment.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with agriculture, dairy, farming, livestock, food production, or other agriculture-related businesses is a plus.

  • Experience supporting multiple business entities or operational functions is preferred.

  • Experience with audits, financial reviews, internal controls, or capital expenditure analysis is beneficial.
