We are a category defining defense-forward startup that is establishing persistent subsea autonomy. We are building the subsea infrastructure that untethered assets need to stay down and stay useful.

The battlefield is increasingly moving subsea, and amid rising geopolitical tension, advancing these capabilities has never been more urgent. Our focus is informed by real operating experience in the U.S. Navy, and our co-founding team combines subsea robotics, power systems, and Navy expertise, with backgrounds from Harvard, Carnegie Mellon, and Georgia Tech.

The Role

You will own the electrical design of our system end-to-end from magnetics and converter topology through to a pressure-qualified, wet-tested unit deployed at sea. You will make the architectural calls, build the hardware yourself, take it in the water, find out what broke, and iterate. You will report to our CTO and work closely with our CEO. This is a small team, and your decisions will shape the product and the company.

What You'll Own

System design - Own the architecture end to end: coupling method, operating frequency, compensation topology, and the loss and efficiency budget. Coupler design and FEA (Maxwell/COMSOL) for coupling, AC loss, and field distribution across the full misalignment envelope, including seawater eddy-current loss. Power electronics from inverter and resonant tank through synchronous rectification, protection, and thermal design in a sealed housing.

Integration and proof - One-way telemetry alongside the power transfer: modulation, link budget, and keeping converter switching noise out of the data channel. Test the tech in the lab and in the field.

Company building - Vendor and contract manufacturer management, IP filings, direct customer engagement, and hiring the EE team behind you.

You Should Have

Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering or similar.

Deep resonant/inductive charging expertise - you've built couplers, not just read about them.

High-frequency magnetics fluency (litz, ferrite, AC loss) plus FEA and circuit simulation.

Full-cycle hardware ownership through layout, bring-up, and debug; strong lab instincts.

Willingness to travel for sea trials.

Bonus: subsea, marine, offshore, or undersea defense systems; underwater comms; battery and BMS integration; prior founding-engineer experience.

This role requires U.S. person status and is subject to export control requirements.
