We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Electrician with residential and commercial electrical experience. The ideal candidate can independently perform electrical installations, troubleshooting, repairs, upgrades, and remodel work.
The role involves a variety of projects, including residential service work, commercial buildouts, tenant improvements, electrical panel upgrades, EV charger installations, lighting retrofits, and electrical system upgrades.
Responsibilities
Perform residential and commercial electrical installations, service, repairs, and upgrades.
Install and upgrade electrical panels and related equipment.
Perform commercial buildouts, tenant improvements, remodels, and electrical system upgrades.
Install residential and commercial EV charging equipment.
Perform commercial lighting installations and LED retrofits.
Troubleshoot electrical systems, wiring, outlets, switches, breakers, fixtures, and related components.
Identify electrical deficiencies and perform code-compliance corrections.
Conduct pre-sale and post-sale electrical inspections.
Read and interpret electrical drawings, plans, specifications, and construction documents.
Work safely and in accordance with applicable California electrical codes and NEC requirements.
Communicate with customers, property managers, general contractors, and other project stakeholders.
Complete assigned projects according to established schedules and quality standards.
Lead electrical work on smaller projects and support larger commercial projects as part of a project team.
Required Qualifications
Valid California Journeyman Electrician License - Required.
3+ years of electrical field experience.
Hands-on experience with both residential and commercial electrical work.
Working knowledge of California Electrical Code and NEC.
Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and construction documents.
Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks.
Professional communication and customer service skills.
Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying job-site conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
EVITP certification or hands-on EV charger installation experience.
Commercial construction and remodeling experience.
Experience with tenant improvements, warehouses, retail, office buildings, or multi-unit properties.
Experience leading electrical work or smaller projects.
Experience with Siemens electrical equipment.
Experience performing electrical inspections and correcting code violations.
