  • We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Night Shift Lead for our CNC Turning Team to drive excellence in precision manufacturing.

  • As the Night Shift Lead, you will oversee the operation of CNC lathe machines during the overnight hours, ensuring high-quality production, adherence to safety standards, and continuous process improvement. Your leadership will inspire a dedicated team of machinists to meet production goals while maintaining strict quality control and efficiency.

Duties:

  • Supervise and coordinate the nightly activities of the CNC turning team, ensuring smooth workflow and timely completion of production schedules.

  • Lead setup and operation of CNC lathes, including Fanuc controls.

  • Review prints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications to ensure parts meet exact requirements.

  • Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges to verify dimensional accuracy.

  • Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols, conducting safety audits, and ensuring proper use of hand tools, power tools, and tooling.

  • Collaborate with maintenance teams for troubleshooting.

  • Train and mentor team members on machining techniques, tooling setups, and safety procedures

Qualifications:

  • Experience leading CNC turning or machining teams in a manufacturing setting with a focus on precision parts production preferred.

  • Proficiency in reading prints and technical drawings with GD&T understanding for accurate part fabrication.

  • Mechanical knowledge of CNC lathe machines, tooling setups.

  • Ability to operate precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators.

  • Basic math skills necessary for measurements, calculations, and process adjustments

  • Leadership abilities with communication skills to motivate team members during night shifts.

  • Valid forklift certification is preferred for material handling within the facility.
