About the Role

Our client is seeking a Security Surveillance Service Technician to support service and project teams by installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced security systems. This role involves working with IP-based video systems, access control, and intrusion detection systems across multiple client sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, service, test, and troubleshoot CCTV, IP video surveillance, access control, and intrusion systems
• Program and maintain networked IP video systems
• Diagnose and resolve issues in equipment and software with minimal supervision
• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and system upgrades
• Provide technical support and training to clients
• Lead and guide junior technicians and installers in the field
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through professional service

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)
• 3-5+ years of experience in CCTV/IP video security, access control, and intrusion systems
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting and programming networked IP video systems
• Strong understanding of networking, infrastructure, and system configuration
• Ability to work independently and solve technical issues efficiently
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record

Preferred Skills

• Experience with platforms such as Avigilon, Axis, Exacq, Digital Watchdog, Hanwha, or IPro
• Background in network support or multi-site system environments
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills

Location Requirements (IMPORTANT)

• Must be based in or near East Bay / San Francisco / Livermore, CA
• Must be comfortable commuting daily to Pleasanton and Livermore
• Driving to multiple job sites is required

• 10-panel drug screening
