Position Overview

A growing plaintiff personal injury law practice is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join its litigation team in Boca Raton, Florida.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of civil litigation experience, strong courtroom skills, and a passion for achieving excellent results for injured clients. Prior plaintiff personal injury experience is preferred; however, accomplished insurance defense attorneys with strong litigation and courtroom experience are encouraged to apply.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who is looking to take on complex, high-value matters and develop into a lead trial attorney.

Key Responsibilities

·         Manage complex plaintiff personal injury litigation matters from intake through trial.

·         Develop and execute case strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys and firm leadership.

·         Conduct and defend depositions.

·         Draft and argue substantive motions and other litigation documents.

·         Represent clients at hearings, mediations, and other court proceedings.

·         Prepare cases for trial and participate as first or second chair in jury trials.

·         Work closely with expert witnesses, consultants, and litigation support professionals.

·         Evaluate cases, damages, liability, and settlement opportunities.

·         Negotiate settlements and advocate for clients throughout the litigation process.

·         Maintain regular and professional communication with clients.

·         Mentor and support junior attorneys and litigation staff.

·         Manage case deadlines, court requirements, and litigation strategy effectively.

Qualifications

·         Active member in good standing of the Florida Bar.

·         Minimum of 5 years of civil litigation experience.

·         Strong experience with depositions, motion practice, hearings, and courtroom proceedings.

·         Excellent legal research, writing, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills.

·         Strong case management and organizational abilities.

·         Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex litigation matters.

·         Strong judgment, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.

·         Excellent client communication and interpersonal skills.

·         Trial experience is highly preferred.

·         Demonstrated interest in developing into a first-chair trial attorney.

·         Plaintiff personal injury experience preferred.

·         Attorneys transitioning from insurance defense, prosecution, or public defense with substantial courtroom experience are encouraged to apply.
