Litigation Attorney

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a motivated Litigation Attorney with 2-5 years of litigation experience for an Associate-level position with strong opportunities for professional growth.

The ideal candidate will have solid experience managing litigation matters, strong legal research and writing skills, excellent communication abilities, and the confidence to work directly with clients and opposing counsel.

Key Responsibilities

·         Manage litigation matters from initial client consultation through resolution.

·         Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, settlement agreements, and other legal documents with accuracy and clarity.

·         Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, depositions, and court proceedings.

·         Conduct comprehensive legal research using resources such as LexisNexis and AI-assisted legal research tools.

·         Communicate directly with clients and opposing counsel in a professional and effective manner.

·         Analyze legal issues, develop case strategies, and provide practical legal guidance.

·         Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals while also handling matters independently.

·         Maintain case deadlines and ensure matters progress efficiently toward resolution.

Required Qualifications

·         2-5 years of litigation experience.

·         Active Connecticut Bar License in good standing.

·         Strong academic background and demonstrated work ethic.

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·         Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

·         Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a legal team.

·         Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines.

·         Professional and effective client communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

·         Trial experience.

·         Experience appearing in court and handling litigation proceedings.

·         Experience managing matters through multiple stages of litigation.

·         Familiarity with modern legal research technology and AI tools.
