Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all phases of discovery, including document review, document production, privilege logs, and e-discovery.

  • Conduct legal and factual research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and public records.

  • Prepare deposition summaries, trial binders, exhibit lists, witness files, and other trial materials.

  • Electronically file documents in state and federal courts while ensuring compliance with applicable court rules and deadlines.

  • Track court deadlines, maintain litigation calendars, monitor case dockets, and coordinate hearings, depositions, and mediations.

  • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, experts, and vendors.

  • Assist attorneys with case strategy, organization, and trial preparation while managing multiple matters simultaneously.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and/or ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm.

  • Strong knowledge of state and federal court procedures, litigation deadlines, and the discovery process.

  • Experience supporting attorneys through all phases of litigation, including trial preparation.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis.

  • Experience with electronic filing systems (CM/ECF and state e-filing portals).

  • Familiarity with legal document management systems and litigation support software is a plus.

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to prioritize competing deadlines, work independently, and maintain confidentiality in a fast-paced legal environment.
