Growing insurance organization seeking a Auto Claims Supervisor - Litigation

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership

• Manage and develop a team handling attorney-represented claims

• Oversee file quality, reserve accuracy, and claim strategies

• Provide coaching, performance feedback, and training

Litigation Oversight

• Direct end-to-end litigation process including counsel coordination, discovery, mediation, and trial prep

• Evaluate liability, damages, and exposure to guide settlement decisions

• Monitor legal expenses and ensure billing compliance

• Assess and manage outside counsel performance

Operational & Strategic Functions

• Implement best practices for litigation handling and cost control

• Identify trends, risks, and process improvement opportunities

• Support leadership with coverage interpretation and training initiatives

• Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards

Technical Guidance

• Assist team with complex injury evaluations and negotiation strategies

• Review medical and legal documentation to assess claim value

• Provide direction on high-exposure and complex cases

Talent Development

• Support hiring, onboarding, and succession planning

• Drive continuous learning and skill development within the team

Qualifications

• Active adjuster license (required)

• 5+ years of auto claims experience, including litigated cases

• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred

• Strong understanding of insurance coverage and litigation processes

• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills

• Ability to manage complex claims and make sound decisions
