Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Mechanic to join Our Client. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience maintaining and repairing industrial equipment within a structural steel or heavy manufacturing environment.

Essential Functions

  • Work closely with the Production Manager and Shop Foreman to coordinate routine maintenance of shop equipment.

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain shop machinery, including CNC equipment.

  • Perform scheduled and preventive maintenance on company forklifts, vehicles, and trailers, and complete inspection logs.

  • Perform routine safety inspections on company forklifts, vehicles, and trailers.

  • Complete weekly machine inventory and grease logs.

  • Inspect the facility periodically for necessary maintenance.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Work independently with minimal supervision.

Specialized Knowledge & Experience

  • Operating knowledge of CNC machines such as Beamline, Plasma Table, and Plate Processors.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of 3-phase electrical systems up to 480 volts.

  • Experience repairing and maintaining cranes and hoists.

  • Experience repairing and maintaining welding machines, forklifts, tractor-trailers, and diesel equipment.

  • Working knowledge of motors and controls, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

  • At least 3 years of electrical troubleshooting experience required.

  • At least 3 years of mechanical troubleshooting experience preferred.

  • Experience with forklift maintenance and oil changes preferred.

  • Experience repairing welding machines preferred.

  • At least 3 years of preventive maintenance experience preferred.
