Job Summary: <p>Our client is a growing food manufacturing company seeking an experienced <strong>Manufacturing Supervisor</strong> to oversee daily production operations within a cultured dairy processing facility.</p><p class="isSelectedEnd">This position will lead production employees, coordinate daily workflow, and ensure production goals are met while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, sanitation, and food safety.</p><p>The ideal candidate has previous experience supervising employees in a <strong>food, dairy, or manufacturing environment</strong> and is comfortable working directly on the production floor.</p>

Manufacturing Supervisor

Classification: Non Exempt
Reports To: Production Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and manage production employees.

• Oversee daily production activities, workflow, and employee assignments.

• Prepare production schedules to support efficient operations.

• Ensure production targets for safety, quality, and quantity are met.

• Ensure sanitation procedures are completed properly and approved by Quality Assurance.

• Monitor production processes and maintain knowledge of equipment and machinery.

• Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with Maintenance when equipment problems arise.

• Ensure products are properly identified, weighed, and stored.

• Ensure employees follow all applicable safety policies, procedures, and regulations.

• Ensure production paperwork, reports, and documentation are completed accurately.

• Assist with internal and external audit preparation and execution.

• Maintain compliance with food safety and regulatory requirements.

• Identify and report actual or potential food safety concerns to management.

• Take appropriate action to address food safety issues within the scope of the position.

• Conduct employee performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.

• Delegate tasks and prioritize work to maintain efficient production operations.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

• 3+ years of experience in production, manufacturing, processing, quality, or a related field.

• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Food or dairy manufacturing experience strongly preferred.

• Strong understanding of production processes and equipment.

• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements.

• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced production environment.

• Experience with production documentation and reporting.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar software.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Associate degree preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk and move throughout the production facility for extended periods.

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

• Ability to work in a production environment and interact directly with production employees and equipment.
