Medical Equipment Technician - Medical Carts

Location: St. James, NY

Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire, Onsite

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Salary: Depending on experience

We are seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair medical carts and related workstation equipment in a hospital environment.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of medical equipment or related technical repair experience and hands-on experience with Capsa Med, JACO, and/or Ergotron medical carts. Experience with all three brands is not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair medical carts and related equipment.

• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.

• Replace batteries, hardware, and equipment modules.

• Perform preventive maintenance.

• Perform software and firmware updates.

• Troubleshoot Windows 10 workstations and related equipment.

• Troubleshoot computers, scanners, printers, and other workstation equipment.

• Document repairs and maintenance activities.

• Manage equipment inventory, spare parts, and warranty information.

• Work independently to prioritize service requests and daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on medical equipment, biomedical, or related repair experience.

• Experience with Capsa Med, JACO, and/or Ergotron medical carts is highly preferred.

• Experience with one or two of these brands will be considered.

• Basic Windows 10 troubleshooting experience.

• Experience troubleshooting computers, workstations, scanners, or printers.

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to work independently and solve technical problems.
