Role Description
This is a full-time, Commercial Loan Officer role. The Commercial Loan Officer will consult with prospective commercial borrowers, real estate investors, and business entities to understand their financial objectives, analyze complex financial data, and recommend appropriate commercial mortgage and capital products.

Responsibilities include guiding clients through the structuring process, preparing and submitting complete commercial loan files, coordinating with commercial underwriting and lending partners, and ensuring compliance with commercial lending regulations and company policies. The role also involves maintaining strong client relationships, delivering responsive customer service, and building strong referral networks with commercial real estate brokers, developers, CPA firms, and other partners to generate new business. The Commercial Loan Officer will be expected to meet loan production goals while maintaining high standards of ethics, accuracy, and client care.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience as a Commercial Loan Officer, including managing a pipeline of commercial real estate (CRE) mortgages and business loan applications.

  • Strong knowledge of the Commercial Mortgage Industry, capital markets, current economic trends, commercial loan structures, and industry regulations.

  • Hands-on experience in Commercial Lending processes, including debt-service coverage ratio (DSCR) calculations, loan structuring, documentation, and closing.

  • Familiarity with commercial underwriting guidelines, risk assessment, asset valuation, and the ability to collaborate effectively with underwriting teams.

  • Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial terms clearly and build trust with corporate entities and high-net-worth investors.

  • Ability to work on-site in the [Location] area and maintain a professional presence with local clients and commercial real estate partners.

  • Proficiency with commercial loan origination systems (LOS), CRM tools, financial modeling programs, and basic office software.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills, with sharp attention to financial details and underwriting file follow-through.

  • Applicable state licenses, commercial brokerage credentials, or registrations as required by state regulatory authorities.

  • Background in finance, banking, economics, business administration, or a related field is highly preferred.
