Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Oil Field Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, including shop activities, drivers, equipment, paperwork, dispatch, and customer relationships. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in the field and shop environment while also handling administrative responsibilities and ensuring operations run safely, efficiently, and smoothly.

This role requires a strong understanding of oil field service operations and the ability to manage multiple areas of the business while working directly with drivers, shop personnel, and customers.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience managing oil field service operations.

• Hands-on experience overseeing drivers, trucks, shop, and fleet operations.

• Strong administrative and paperwork/documentation skills.

• Experience with dispatching and driver scheduling.

• Ability to manage and communicate effectively with customers.

• Strong understanding of oil field drilling, completion, and production operations.

• Knowledge of DOT, safety, and compliance requirements.

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Computer proficiency and ability to manage operational records.

• Ability and willingness to be hands-on with daily operations, rather than working solely in an office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily oil field operations, drivers, and shop activities.

• Manage and coordinate drivers, trucks, dispatch, and schedules.

• Oversee shop and fleet activities to maintain operational readiness.

• Handle required paperwork, documentation, timesheets, service tickets, and operational records.

• Work directly with customers to maintain relationships and address operational needs.

• Support hiring, training, and performance management of drivers and field personnel.

• Monitor driver hours, safety practices, and DOT compliance.

• Coordinate maintenance and repairs with shop and fleet personnel.

• Assist with field operations and step in where needed to keep operations running efficiently.

• Conduct and coordinate safety meetings and ensure company procedures are followed.

• Maintain well-site and customer information.

• Work closely with office and field personnel to resolve operational issues.

• Provide hands-on leadership across the yard, shop, drivers, and customer operations.
