Paralegal - Personal Injury Litigation

Position Overview

Our client is looking for an experienced Paralegal with personal injury litigation experience to support attorneys handling complex plaintiff-side personal injury and wrongful death matters.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple litigation matters while working closely with attorneys, clients, experts, opposing counsel, and other legal professionals.

Key Responsibilities

·         Provide comprehensive paralegal support for personal injury and wrongful death litigation matters.

·         Assist attorneys with cases from initial intake through settlement, trial, and post-trial activities.

·         Organize and maintain case files, pleadings, correspondence, medical records, discovery materials, and other litigation documents.

·         Assist with discovery, including preparing, organizing, and tracking discovery requests and responses.

·         Coordinate and assist with deposition preparation, including exhibits, medical records, witness materials, and deposition files.

·         Prepare and organize documents, exhibits, chronologies, and trial materials for hearings and trial.

·         Assist with court filings, calendaring, deadlines, and case-management activities.

·         Obtain, organize, and review medical records, bills, employment records, and other damages documentation.

·         Communicate professionally with clients, medical providers, experts, insurance representatives, opposing counsel, and court personnel.

·         Assist attorneys with legal research and preparation of case-related documents as needed.

·         Track important litigation deadlines, appointments, hearings, depositions, and trial dates.

·         Support settlement preparation and assist with settlement-related documentation.

·         Maintain accurate and confidential client and case information.

·         Perform other litigation support and paralegal duties as assigned.

Qualifications

·         Previous experience as a Paralegal in personal injury litigation is strongly preferred.

·         Experience supporting plaintiff-side personal injury and/or wrongful death cases.

·         Strong understanding of civil litigation procedures and case management.

·         Experience with discovery, depositions, medical records, settlement preparation, and trial support.

·         Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

·         Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·         Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case-management/document-management systems.

·         Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff.

·         Strong professionalism and commitment to client service.

·         Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
