Job Summary: We are seeking a General Ophthalmologist to join our White Mountain Eyecare team in Plymouth, New Hampshire.This is an excellent opportunity for an ophthalmologist interested in a strong mix of medical ophthalmology, cataract surgery, and intravitreal injections while working in a collaborative, community-focused environment.

Full-Time | General Ophthalmology

$350K-$375K Base + $30K-$75K Incentive

What You'll Do

  • Perform cataract surgery at Hospital

  • Provide intravitreal injections, including Eylea, Eylea HD, and Vabysmo

  • Perform SLT and YAG laser procedures

  • Perform chalazion excisions and foreign-body removals

  • Conduct comprehensive and medical eye examinations

  • Diagnose and treat a broad range of ophthalmic conditions

  • Develop individualized treatment plans

  • Review and interpret diagnostic testing

  • Collaborate with physicians and clinical support staff

  • Provide ER consultation by phone as part of the call rotation

  • Additional retina experience is a plus, but not required.

Required

  • MD or DO

  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Ophthalmology residency

  • NH medical license or eligibility for NH licensure

  • Valid DEA registration

  • Ability to practice independently

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Commitment to collaborative, patient-centered care

Preferred

  • Board certification in Ophthalmology

  • Prior ophthalmology experience

  • Cataract surgery experience

  • Intravitreal injection experience

  • Retina experience is a plus

Schedule

  • Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

  • Office schedule: 4 days/week

  • OR: approximately 2 days/month

  • OR weeks typically include 3 office days + 1 OR day

  • Patient volume: approximately 34-38 patients/day

  • Call: approximately 10 days/month

  • Call is primarily non-office hours and consists of phone consultations with ER staff

Practice Mix

  • 70% Medical Ophthalmology

  • 20% Surgical Ophthalmology

  • 10% Routine Eye Care

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $350,000-$375,000/year

  • Productivity Incentive: $30,000-$75,000

  • Relocation Assistance: Available through a sign-on bonus when applicable

  • Compensation is based on experience, with additional earning potential tied to productivity.
