The Production Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Midlothian, TX, responsible for managing daily production activities and ensuring orders are completed safely, on time, and to quality standards.
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this role oversees production schedules, assigns tasks, and monitors workflow to meet output and efficiency targets. The Production Manager leads and coaches production staff, conducts performance discussions, and supports training to maintain a skilled and engaged team.
The position coordinates with maintenance, quality, logistics, and management to resolve issues, minimize downtime, and optimize the use of equipment and materials. Day-to-day responsibilities also include tracking production metrics, enforcing safety and compliance procedures, identifying process improvements, and preparing reports for leadership.
Demonstrated experience leading production or operations teams in a steel tubing manufacturing or industrial environment
Strong skills in scheduling, workflow planning, and resource allocation to meet production targets
Proficiency in monitoring performance metrics, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing process improvements
Ability to enforce and promote safety standards, regulatory compliance, and quality control procedures
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and guiding staff
Experience working with production systems, basic data analysis, and standard office software
Proven ability to make sound decisions under time pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree in operations, industrial management, engineering, or a related field preferred
Prior experience as a Production Manager, Production Supervisor, or similar leadership role strongly preferred
