Position Overview

Seeking a detail-oriented Real Estate Settlement Processor/Closer to manage transactions from opening through closing in a high-volume, fast-paced title/settlement environment. The role requires strong multitasking, stakeholder coordination, and full file ownership while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional client service.

Minimum Requirements

  • 2-3+ years of experience in title, escrow, or settlement processing

  • Experience handling Virginia real estate transactions preferred

  • Basic understanding of mortgage documents and title processes

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and title production software

  • Virginia State Notary (required)

  • Title Producer License preferred (not required)

  • Ability to manage multiple files in a deadline-driven environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong customer service mindset

  • Knowledge of real estate title and settlement workflows

  • Experience with Qualia or similar title software preferred

  • Strong document review and problem-solving abilities

  • High-volume workload management with accuracy

  • Paralegal experience is a plus

  • Proficient with standard office equipment and systems

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, clear, and manage title commitments; identify underwriting issues

  • Coordinate with lenders, agents, buyers, sellers, and other parties

  • Order title bring-downs, tax certifications, and closing documents

  • Review conveyancing documents for accuracy and completeness

  • Prepare and track deposits and file disbursements

  • Respond to client inquiries in a timely, professional manner

  • Perform curative work to achieve clear-to-close status

  • Conduct and facilitate closing appointments

  • Maintain accurate and organized transaction records

Work Conditions

  • Full-time: 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday)

  • In-office position: Richmond, VA

  • Limited travel required for closing appointments (IRS mileage reimbursement provided)
