We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Title Processor to join our team. We are a small commercial and residential real estate law firm representing buyers, sellers and lenders. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the closing process by ensuring that all lender and title-related documents are accurately prepared and processed. This position requires a strong understanding of the closing process. Commercial experience a plus but not required.
Duties
Handle Title Processing from A to Z, and be able to review contracts, title commitments and lender instructions to prepare closing documents. Identify and communicate defects in title and necessary action to correct and issues raised in the title commitment and lien search.
Coordinate with lenders, real estate agents, and clients to gather necessary information for title processing.
Prepare closing documents, including deeds, affidavits, loan documents, settlement statements and any documents required to clear title.
Conduct title searches to identify any liens or encumbrances on properties.
Maintain organized records of all transactions and communications related to title processing.
Assist in resolving any discrepancies or issues that arise during the title review process.
Skills
Proficiency in the closing process from start to finish.
Basic math skills for accurate calculations related to financial transactions.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple files simultaneously.
Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and external partners.
