Role - Retail Automotive Accounting Clerk

Job Summary

Seeking a well-rounded Retail Automotive Accounting Clerk with dealership accounting experience to support daily accounting, billing, vehicle inventory, title, warranty, and accounts payable/receivable functions. Dealership accounting experience is required, with DealerTrack DMS experience strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R).

• Process deposits and accounting transactions in the DMS.

• Process payoff checks for vehicle trades.

• Stock vehicles into inventory and maintain accurate inventory records.

• Handle retail, wholesale, and dealer trade billing.

• Process warranty remittances, reconciliations, and cancellations.

• Maintain and reconcile accounting schedules, ensuring they are accurate and up to date.

• Support title processing and maintain accurate title documentation.

• Perform day-to-day dealership accounting and administrative functions.

• Ensure accounting records and transactions are accurate and properly documented.

Qualifications

• Dealership accounting experience is required.

• Experience with retail automotive accounting strongly preferred.

• DealerTrack DMS experience preferred.

• Strong knowledge of A/P and A/R processes.

• Experience processing deposits through a DMS.

• Knowledge of vehicle inventory, dealer trades, and payoff processing.

• Experience with retail, wholesale, and dealer trade billing.

• Knowledge of warranty remittance, reconciliation, and cancellation processing.

• Strong title-processing knowledge.

• Ability to clean, maintain, and reconcile accounting schedules.

• Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.

• Ability to manage multiple accounting tasks in a fast-paced dealership environment.
