Job description
In this role, you'll help bring commercial kitchen and foodservice projects to life by creating detailed construction drawings and collaborating with sales consultants, project managers, architects, engineers, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
This position plays a key role in designing functional, efficient, and code-compliant foodservice spaces for projects ranging from independent restaurants to large hospitality and multi-unit developments nationwide.
What You'll Do:
Create detailed, build-ready construction drawings for bidding, permitting, coordination, and installation
Develop equipment elevations, utility plans, and isometric views to communicate design intent clearly
Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, architects, engineers, and clients throughout the design process
Assist in solving layout, space-planning, and operational challenges within commercial kitchen environments
Review site documentation and identify potential design or installation concerns proactively
Respond to RFIs, field conditions, and project revisions accurately and efficiently
Track scope changes and maintain organized project documentation
Support projects from conceptual design through final installation
Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and project milestones
What You Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field; or Associate degree with relevant industry experience
3-8 years of drafting/design experience preferred
Proficiency in Autodesk Revit
Ability to read, interpret, and create construction documents
Experience working with architects, engineers, contractors, and project stakeholders
Strong organization and time-management skills
Ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline - driven environment
Clear, professional communication skills
Preferred (Not Required):
Commercial kitchen or foodservice design experience
Understanding of foodservice workflows, equipment, and utility requirements
Field verification or site survey experience
Understanding of ADA considerations within commercial kitchen layouts
Experience with 3D rendering software such as Enscape
