We are seeking a driven Risk Management Associate to develop new commercial property and casualty insurance business while maintaining long term client relationships. This role is responsible for generating new business opportunities, managing a consultative sales pipeline, delivering customized insurance solutions, and supporting client retention. The ideal candidate will have strong business to business sales experience, excellent relationship building skills, and the ability to consistently achieve sales goals.
Generate new commercial insurance business through prospecting and networking.
Develop and manage an active sales pipeline with opportunities at various stages.
Schedule and conduct client meetings and consultative sales presentations.
Identify client needs and recommend appropriate insurance solutions.
Meet or exceed annual sales and performance goals.
Build and maintain long term relationships with clients and prospects.
Execute client relationship and retention programs.
Cross sell additional insurance products and services.
Deliver exceptional customer service through proactive communication.
Support renewal activities to maximize client retention.
Gather underwriting and business information to prepare insurance proposals.
Present customized commercial property and casualty insurance solutions.
Provide professional advice on coverage options and risk management strategies.
Stay informed on insurance products, market trends, carriers, and emerging risks.
Apply sales techniques and best practices to improve performance.
Build referral relationships with clients, business partners, and centers of influence.
Participate in networking events, industry associations, and professional organizations.
Develop expertise within target industry niches.
Represent the organization professionally in the marketplace.
Maintain accurate client and prospect records within the CRM and agency management system.
Document all sales activities and client interactions.
Ensure compliance with agency procedures and documentation standards.
Participate in department meetings and contribute to sales strategies.
Minimum 2 years of successful business to business consultative sales experience.
Strong negotiation and relationship building skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience using CRM and sales management systems.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Self motivated with excellent time management skills.
Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
Commercial insurance sales experience.
Active Property & Casualty Insurance License.
Experience with Applied Systems EPIC.
Bachelor's degree.
