Security, Surveillance, and Access Control Installation & Service Technician

Job Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Security, Surveillance, and Access Control Installation & Service Technician to install, maintain, and service security systems, cameras, and access control devices. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to ensuring clients' safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, test, and troubleshoot security, surveillance, and access control systems at client sites.

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal system performance.

• Provide technical support and training to clients on system operation.

• Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and installation instructions for proper setup.

• Conduct on-site assessments and recommend security enhancements.

• Maintain accurate records of service calls, installations, and maintenance activities.

• Adhere to safety protocols and company policies during all activities.

• Stay current with industry advancements and new security technologies.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in security system installation, maintenance, and repair.

• Knowledge of CCTV, video surveillance, access control, alarm systems, and related technologies.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various locations.

• U.S. citizen fluent in English.

• Relevant certifications such as Hanwha, DMP, Speco, S2, and Galaxy are a plus.

• Skilled in pulling, terminating, and testing low-voltage cables in compliance with code.

• Experience installing door hardware such as strikes, magnetic locks, and push/panic devices.

Work Environment

• Fieldwork involves travel to customer sites, including occasional out-of-town jobs requiring overnight stays.

• Physical activity required, including lifting up to 75 pounds, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.

• On-call availability may be necessary based on company needs.

Starting Pay: $26-$36/hour (DOE) + Bonus Potential
