Our client is seeking an experienced Hydraulic Power Unit Assembler with 10+ years of hands-on experience in the hydraulic industry. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills and experience assembling, troubleshooting, repairing, and testing hydraulic systems and components.
Assemble and install hydraulic power units, piping, tubing, hoses, pumps, valves, and related components.
Read and understand hydraulic schematics and use them to assemble and troubleshoot systems.
Fabricate and weld structural frames, brackets, and supports.
Perform pipe fitting and hydraulic tubing installation.
Bend and route hydraulic tubing according to system requirements.
Build and install hydraulic hose assemblies.
Troubleshoot hydraulic systems to identify leaks, pressure issues, flow problems, and component failures.
Perform general mechanical maintenance and repairs on hydraulic equipment.
Disassemble and repair hydraulic pumps and cylinders.
Inspect disassembled components and determine which parts need to be repaired or replaced.
Reassemble pumps and cylinders and perform bench testing to verify proper operation.
Work with common hydraulic connection and fitting standards, including SAE, JIC, Autoclave, and BSP.
Follow proper safety, quality, and hydraulic industry standards during assembly and repair work.
Maintain and properly use personal hand tools and equipment required for the job.
10+ years of hands-on experience in the hydraulic industry.
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently.
Experience assembling hydraulic power units or similar hydraulic systems.
Welding experience, particularly with structural frames and brackets.
Strong pipe fitting and hydraulic tubing experience.
Experience with tube bending and hose assembly.
Ability to read and understand hydraulic schematics.
Strong hydraulic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Experience repairing hydraulic pumps and cylinders, including disassembly, component inspection, reassembly, and bench testing.
Knowledge of hydraulic fittings and standards such as SAE, JIC, Autoclave, and BSP.
Ability to use common mechanical and hydraulic hand tools safely and effectively.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
