Job Description

A Full Service CPA Firm located in Pompano Beach, FL is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant (Auditor). Reporting to the firm's management group, this position's primary responsibility is to take a lead role in the performance of review and compilation engagements for a broad range of clientele, as well as assisting in tax compliance needs. A senior accountant contributes to the success of the firm by working directly with management and partners to provide clients with high-quality service. Senior staff accountants have strong technical accounting skills and tax knowledge

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Minimum of 4 years of accounting and tax experience in CPA firm setting

• Knowledge of construction accounting is big plus (WIP Schedules, CIP etc.)

• Experience with compilation and review of GAAP and OCBOA financial statements

• Experience with Ultratax CS preferred

• Strong knowledge of assurance and accounting standards;

• Experience with Engagement Manager from Thompson Reuters required;

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong organizational and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct financial statements compilation and review engagements according to GAAP and OCBOA

• Manage engagements from start to completion including consulting directly with clients

• Prepare engagement working papers, financial statements, and client correspondence;

• Prepare and review WIP and Percentage Completion Schedules for clients in the construction industry.

• Preparation of individual, corporate and partnership tax returns including 1040, 1065, 1120, 1120S and 1041.

• Work with other staff members to take on increasing responsibility and delivery of smaller projects

• Ensure high-quality, timely delivery, and positive client experience for all projects.
