Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: $42-$52 per hour, based on experience

We are seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a growing rehabilitation team in Red Oak, Iowa.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced SLP or a new graduate looking to build a rewarding career in a supportive healthcare environment. The position provides the opportunity to work with patients across the lifespan, from pediatrics through geriatrics, in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

What You'll Do

• Evaluate, assess, and treat patients with speech, language, communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.

• Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress.

• Provide speech therapy services primarily in an outpatient rehabilitation clinic.

• Provide some inpatient speech therapy services as needed.

• Work with patients recovering from stroke and other neurological conditions.

• Address dysphagia and swallowing-related needs.

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

• Communicate with patients, families, caregivers, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.

• Collaborate with Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and other members of the rehabilitation team.

• Participate in patient and staff education.

• Assist with development of new programs and services.

• Participate in in-services and support the growth of the rehabilitation department.

• Perform other duties within the scope of the position.

Patient Population

You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, including:

• Pediatric patients

• Patients with swallowing/dysphagia concerns

• Patients with speech and language disorders

• Patients with neurological and cognitive-communication needs

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (M.A. or M.S.)

• Appropriate Iowa SLP licensure or eligibility for Iowa licensure

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
