The Staff Accountant will support the Controller and assist with day-to-day general accounting functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, inventory accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end and year-end close activities. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with strong analytical skills and an interest in manufacturing and cost accounting.
Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities.
Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Maintain and support fixed assets, depreciation, prepaids, and general ledger activities.
Assist with customer inquiries related to Accounts Receivable.
Support the preparation and maintenance of balance sheet and P&L reporting.
Perform inventory reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
Conduct cycle count audits and review perpetual inventory accuracy and valuation.
Assist with internal controls and identify opportunities for process improvements.
Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
Perform ad hoc financial analysis and accounting projects as needed.
Collaborate with accounting, manufacturing, and other internal departments.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
Experience or interest in manufacturing accounting, inventory accounting, or cost accounting preferred.
Understanding of ERP or manufacturing accounting systems.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly advanced Excel.
Knowledge of general accounting principles and financial reporting.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Advanced degree or relevant accounting certification is a plus.
